Remedy for Constipation


Constipation is a problem that affects the digestive system and we all have experienced it at some point of our life.  Constipation makes everyone uncomfortable and it is when the bowels do not move regularly.  The stools become very hard and it becomes very difficult to eliminate it thus causing a lot of strain and more discomfort.  Some of the causes may be due to change in diet, physical activity and not consuming enough fluids or the wrong type of fluids.There are some home remedies that can help you overcome constipation.

Fruits such as grapes, papaya, pears and prunes are very helpful in alleviating constipation and will help get the bowels moving along.    The combination of cellulose, sugar and organic acid found in these fruits help create a laxative effect and tone up the stomach and intestine to help alleviate chronic constipation. Papaya and figs are fruits that are also wonderful home remedy choices for constipation. It takes just a half a papaya eaten with breakfast to work as a laxative.  


Another method is to have castor oil in warm milk as it will help get the bowels moving.  Two teaspoons of aloe can also be consumed per day as a home remedy to relieve constipation.   Drink a couple glasses of water and getting yourself out the door to go for a walk as our body needs fluids and exercise to remain healthy.  Try herbal laxatives which are a safe and effective way of overcoming constipation.
