Constipation is very common problem and should always be
attended to as if no precautions are taken to overcome it, then it can lead to
various illnesses. Unhealthy and improper eating habits and lack
of exercise are the main reasons for constipation. Severe abdominal pain and
nausea are also the symptoms related to this disease. Constipation
is caused due to some medication, ignoring the urge to defecate, poor diet,
which is low in fiber, lack of exercise, pregnancy, hypothyroidism, etc.
The unhealthy food
habits will result in severe constipation problems. To overcome this problem, you are advised to
take diet rich in fiber that will aid in the bowel movement. Fiber should be a part of your diet. Increase
consumption of whole grain breads, cereals flours and other whole grain
products and vegetables, legumes and fruits. Also include vegetable juice like carrot
juice, soup, lemon water, butter milk, coconut water etc.
A lot of water intake will help to reduce the problems
related to constipation. Hence have
adequate water at least about 8 glasses every day. Therefore, try to take about 8 glass of water
every day. Lemon juice mixed with warm
water also helps ease bowel movement. A
high fiber diet accompanied by enough fluid intake is a must to overcome
constipation and control your diet by avoiding junk food.
